Mooloolaba Winter Series Offshore Sabot report by

Day 1
Was a beautiful sunny day, making for some of that magic winter
sailing. Racing was very fun with about 8-10 knots and only a slight
swell.

Day 2.
Another beautiful day with a moderate breeze of 10-12 knots
with a short lumpy swell, which caused some competitors to feel a little queasy
and not being able to give full concentration.

Day 3
Not such an ideal sailing day as the breezes were very fluky
ranging from 3-12 knots and wind shifts of almost 180 degrees. In the
first race the lead changed a number of times with knocks and lifts all over
the course. Race 2 was shortened due to the first race being postponed
because of the wind shifts.

The weather turned out to be another great day for sailing
with a short swell and a breeze of about 8-10 knots. It was
great to see Brendon Smith in Flat Chat make the trip down for the day.

to have another race just for fun.
